Five Favorites

Hello! Hope you are having a wonderful morning.

In case you have been living under a rock and do not know about this addictive amazing website called Pinterest. Oh you have heard of it? Of course you have! Well here a handful of fun things that I pinned this week.

1. I love this outfit, and pretty much any outfit that Kim Le of Lace and Locks puts together.

2. This needs to be in my belly now. (Source: Recipegirl.com)

3. There is just something about this combo of pink, brown, and green that makes me swoon. (Source: Bespoke-Bride Wedding)

4. Just looking at this photo makes me want to craft. And there is a tutorial for the love board. Bonus! (Source: American Crafts blog)

5. When I want to be inspired I tend to go to Studio Calico. This card takes the cake this week! Love the colors and design!

Pin-spired lately? Follow me over there for more inspiration and fun!

*Although websites like Pinterest are a great place to find inspiration, I respect the people who put their time, passion, and energy into their craft. I always do my best to find the original poster of any photo I pin. I will always link up to the original website if I use it in my blog. Thanks for all the support, and thank you to all the wonderful bloggers that inspire me daily!

Right Now

Hello there! Hope your week is going swell. Mine is going by super fast, but I am posting a few updates about what is going on in my world. Leave a message below and let me know what fun things are happening for you this week!

READING: Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor

EATING: lots of Mexican food. I could live off chips & salsa.

CREATING: greeting cards from my latest Studio Calico kits - LOVE! You can see all my work here.

WATCHING: only the greatest movie ever. And it references one of my all-time favorite movies. It's aca-amazing! (btw that is a total giveaway...)

VISITING: I have been home this week due to B's bad cold, but last weekend we did get out in our backyard and used our new patio furniture!

LOVING: that my crafting mojo has returned. I love when that happens!

FEELING: calm? overwelmed? I go back and forth...

INSPIRED BY: this Bible verse - "in nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:6-7

Thanks for stopping by!

Lately

You know when people say "it's been one of those days"? Well it has been one of those months. And when I say one, I really mean a few. I feel like I have been going at full speed since 2014 started, and we have already started the fifth month of the year. How did that happen?

On the creative side, I have not had much time. My Gramp passed away a week and a half ago and so I made a book with some of my favorite photos of him and family. It was a healing process for me, and I enjoy looking at the photos since I have the book on our mantle.

I am working on being better about keeping up with this blog. I have been sucked into Instagram, and I have been posting on there as craftyjenna. As my brother pointed out a few days ago "mothers should not have access to social media", and I tend to post many photos of B so that's your fair warning.

Please be patient as I work on the design of my blog. I have started putting steps into place so I can get on a nice schedule.

Thanks for reading! Love and hugs!

Jenna

Guess who is baaaaaack

Hello blog world I am back and ready to type!

Life has been crazy busy to say the least, but I am keeping up as best I can and so far surviving.

I have been writing blog posts in my head for months now so lets just jump right into it shall we?

Currently I am sitting in the guest room getting lightheaded from paint fumes trying to figure out how to paint the black laminate units we have white. Like usual I got a little excited, well really impatient and started painting without priming. I know! Big no no. So now I am waiting for my other half to get home so we can head to the store and get what I need to finish my project. I'm just glad I started this late in the day so I don't have to wait all day to finish the project. I already dragged B out to Target, and bribed him with french fries and a dollar bin dino to look at lamp shades. That little man is good to me with only one real meltdown in public (I know I am beyond blessed with one, Lord help us when the next one comes) and I am NOT doing that again. At least B is good with food and cheap bribes. Just like his mommy. No shame.

Anyhoo I will leave you with a fun of some goodies I received recently since I hear someone crying...be back soon!

Love and hugs!
