Caught up...

I have been HORRIBLE about keeping up with this blog...and all that is going on in life! I recently got hired on to continue work in environmental education at the place I have been working for 11 months. In addition to this, we have been trying to get our place organized to have a garage sale. Needless to say life has been getting the best of me. The best part is that I have an amazing husband who supports me and even cleaned and organized our office so I have a semi-decent place to craft! WOO! But unfortunately I have not been on my game and the room is a mess....again. My hopes are to have that room organized and finally get some new stuff out in the next week.

I recently had a crafting party with some chicas and it was lovely. We cut, glued, embossed, and colored our hearts out. It was great! I also have made a few cards here and there for friends using Serif DrawPlus. In my opinion it is a cross between Microsoft Paint and Adobe Illustrator...if you can imagine that. All-in-all I have been happy with it. I am hoping the more time I spend using it, the more comfortable I will be.

Apologies for the lack of posting. I am going to be more disciplined when it comes to this blogging thing since I have been slacking hardcore. Check back soon!

Getting creative

This week has been very busy. Today was especially negative for me, so I decided to look at my favorite subject of the moment - OWLS. In the near future I will be putting down all my designs I have in my head regarding owls. These creatures are just amazing. It is a great thing that I get to see and talk about them as well. :)
I also read this awesome article from Etsy discussing how to make yourself stand out in crazy, big market world of today. This month my goal is to get my cards on my etsy page and finally put my work out there in the cyber world. Hopefully there is nice response :)

organized chaos...

...is my life. The guest room is slightly more "organized" than the pictures above, but still not up to par. I have been trying to be a cleaning frenzy, but everything just seems to stay messy. I do not know what it is...maybe I could blame it on the fact I am left-handed? For the most part I know where things are, but unfortunately I am WAY too unorganized to try to put things on etsy and be successful. I am thinking Monday will be the big upload - I have made a handful of the Sweet Valentine card I love, but I have more ideas I want to get out before I post anything. Valentine's Day (call it what you want, it's all about the love in my mind!) is quitely approaching so I may have missed that train...

Let me know if you have any creative organizing ideas. I would love to read about them!

After much procrastination on my part, my goal is to get my Etsy shop up and running...FINALLY! I made new thank you cards, but I need to "shape up or ship out", as they say, and get my shop and life in order. I have ideas on how to better organize myself since our spare bedroom is also where I plan on crafting, instead of the living room, and it needs to be organized - majorly! Since I am planning on opening my shop, it makes sense to get my blog in order as well. I will post some photos of my new work, in addition to the disaster turned functional room I plan on taking apart, literally. Thanks for being patient, and even if you have forgotten me, I promise I will refresh and (hopefully) impress you soon!

with love,
